Shave Bar Soap
Shave Bar Soap
The idea behind the shave bar soaps is to have a product requiring no aerosol cans or plastic bottles, to be as package-free as possible. You’ll need a mug or bowl and some kind of scrubber, like a small bristle brush or a shaving brush.
To Use: Lather in bowl with plenty of water & shave brush. There are a lot of great videos on YouTube to watch if you want to learn the “Proper” Method.
Our method:
We use a mug to hold the soap, adding a bit of hot water, soak for a couple minutes.
Allow the brush to soak in hot water to soften the bristles.
Swish the brush, bop it & poke soap for about 30 seconds.
Apply to skin (face, legs, whatever) & shave as normal. Allow soap to dry between uses. Usually, just let the mug hang out upside down for a bit.
Enjoy!
The pucks vary in size, but are about 2 oz & 3 in in diameter, fitting many mugs or shaving vessels. They have a nice mild, vanilla fragrance to soothe the mind as you shave.
Smaller mugs contain poured soap bar, not removable.
Larger mug includes a separate soap bar.
